For those of you who haven't heard, it is with great sadness to tell you that my great friend and Extreme Noise Terror bandmate, Phil Vane passed away in his sleep last Thursday. After spending months at a time on the road with him on the ENT tours, I saw nothing but a good, honest man. Gonna miss him

If that really is you and that's true, i'm sorry for your loss. E.n.t. Happen to be pretty much the only band from the early british scene that I like. Sad news indeed.

Yeah I heard about this, but couldn't verify a legend through and through, ENT are one of the greater UK Grind bands and really helped define the scene, not to mention their ballsy attempt with the klf, which totally redefined and definied the cultural traditions of music!
Didn't he do a one year stint in Napalm Death?

Yes it really is me and yes it is true.
Phil was one of the most generous and kindest people I have ever known.
I've known him since 1982 and then more so when we started ENT in '85.
Only the good die young.

Man, I thought 2011 was going to be a good year. Fucking been like a 4 year stint of tragedy for grindcore. On the positive we will probably see some ENT tribute albums.
