| recent powerviolence bands that are good after a short burst of shitty crossed out clones, things have slowed down and people seem to finally be getting a handle on PV, even looking to bands other than crossed out as an influence... and there's those bands like slices, who turn it into something really interesting and unique. i'm falling asleep, so i'll just throw out a few names: sidetracked dry rot hummingbird of death (not sure if they count, but whatever...) i can't remember anything else... godongirthes.d | |||

| RE: recent powerviolence bands that are good Don't forget the infest clones too! I dunno, powerviolence isn't necessarily all about playing as quickly as possible. Take Spazz for instance, weird timings, a sense of humor fueled by inside jokes, and even instruments like harmonica are used in some songs. Anyway thats just my take on it, actually there's been an uprising throughout the world...more so in South America than anywhere else..but a few of my favs from the last decade... Richard Harrison(Chile) George Bitch Jr.(France) Domestik Doktrin(Indonesia) Sin Orden(U.S.A) If you came here to talk about napalm death, nasum, rotten sound, any other crappy ass death metal band/technical death metal posing as grindcore, we will clash. | |||

| RE: recent powerviolence bands that are good Weekend Nachos are really sick. Also, DC area has had some good powerviolence bands recently. Probably the best was Juice Tyme but they just broke up. | |||

Def have a lot of "questionable" fans which is where the negative association comes in for me. Good band though for sure. | |||

Speaking of Scotland, what good bands do you guys have there? I only know of your Oi Polloi, Disaffect, and of course Filthpact. Surely there has to be more badass bands. Share the wealth!
