I'm an Aussie and I know all the great local grind bands which many people around the world don't know, these guys deserve recognition and you deserve to hear it!

CAPTAIN CLEANOFF
Captain Cleanoff are great, huge energy, great sound and all around really good guys!!!
They are spread all over the country I think a couple live in Melbourne and a couple more live in Adelaide.
They are one of Australia's premier grind acts and are highly sought after all over Australia to play shows.
They played Obscene Extreme this year.
In the vein of Napalm Death and Kill the Client these guys are somewhat metallic and very abrasive. On the first listen this tends to offend the ears, but listen closely and you will see this is some of the finest grindcore in the world.

BRAZEN BULL
Brazen Bull are pretty new on the grind scene and come from my hometown.
They are fucking insane!!
These guys go at a breakneck speed, drop a breakdown stop for 3 seconds and then bust out at lightning speed again.
This shit is blisteringly fast and you can do permanent damage to your neck moshing at their gigs.
The guitars are shredding and the vokills make ya think if ya get to close ya ears will bleed!!!

THE KILL
This band is a powerhouse of explosive energy. It is a nonstop aural assault full of blastbeat mayhem!
This band is in the vein of Anal Cunt.
They have been a very turbulent band, they have had Tony from Bloodduster amongst others who left.
They now sport Jay from Fuck I'm Dead and Nik the singer of the great "Super Fun Happy Slide"
This band truly has to be heard to appreciated.

FUCK I'M DEAD
Well what can I say about Fuck I'm Dead? They are just phenomenal, they started out slow just doing a few local gigs and releasing a demo.
I believe in 2000 or 2001 they released their full length CD "Bring on the Dead" which left people wondering is this for real?
Well it fucking is and they are no joke.
They started out as a drum machine band which tends to rub people the wrong way, but these cunts earned everyones respect when the singing and guitaring keeps up to machine gun drumming speed.
They have just got a real drummer to join them and I thought there was know way the cunt will be able to keep the pace up.
Well he proved me wrong.
It looks like the bug has caught overseas as they played Midwest Fuckfest in 2008 and are on the bill this year for Obscene Extreme Festival if I'm not mistaken.
This is the best grind in Australia and one of the best worldwide in my humble opinion.

INTENSE HAMMER RAGE
Hahaha now for one of my favourites!!!
These cunts are just fucking great. They come from Tasmania, here in Aus we all joke about Tasmanians being inbred and with bastards like this I know why!!!
Pure nasty porngrind. This stuff is brutal.
The vokills range from highs to lows, very fast riffing, and ridiculously fast drumming.
They sing all about porn and death..... But they were doing it before it was "cool"
They have had their fair share of controversy when they released their second full length album "Avagoyamugs" they were arrested and had their cd's seized and they were all charged with distributing child pornography relating back to the lyrics.
Well I guess that stopped them........ Ya can't keep a good band down forever, last year they announced to a few select people they were making a comeback!!!!

CUNTSCRAPE
This is what I would call grind n roll somewhat like Blooddusters stuff. Except this is pure porn mayhem.
They are a relatively new band starting in I think 2007, but they have a cult following.
They recently finished their Australian tour in which their props were dildo's fleshlights, 6 ft inflatable dicks and blowup dolls.
Complete with a guitar strap made of tampons they make you smile as soon as you look at them.
Their music ranges from very fast fuck off grind to head bopping ACDC-esque rock riffs.
These guys are no joke.

SUPER FUN HAPPY SLIDE
These guys are great raw old school sounding grindcore with no frills.
These guys are great live.
I dont know too much about them.
Very tight music with distortion high and vocals low this is dirty raw grindcore for the purists out there.
They just released their first full length this year "The Undislodgable Nugget Scenario"

ROSKOPP
Roskopp are a cool band from Melbourne Australia.
They have been kicking around since 2005 2006?
Varied vokills are always a winner, some gurgling some yelling and lots of shrieking.
Generally very fast sick grind but can slow down with no warning and go into an almost sludgy interlude.
Thus far they have 1 full length.
Well worth a look.

AGENTS OF ABHORRENCE
Well to be honest they are not one of my favorites, nonetheless they are highly regarded in the grind scene.
Something I will say for these boys is they have very good musical skills.
Some of their riffs are pure genius and they just have an all around tight sound.
They have 1 full length out.

INJURY TO EYE

These Melbourne natives have been raising hell since '03. They have one full length to their repertoir. Path Pathology Pathos.
Very raw production (which some people like) distorted guitars and just some nice straight up death grind.

BLOODDUSTER

I class these guys as death metal with a rock n roll touch.
They call it grind n roll so I will go with that.
With 4 full length CD's a DVD and countless demo's and EP's to their repertoire they are a mainstay in the grind scene and probably the best known Aussie grinders.
They have been to Obscene Extreme 2 or maybe 3 times.
They have toured America at least once and Australia countless times.
They have been around since the early 90's..... '92 I think.
Their best CD in my opinion is Cunt.
This is pure rock n roll grind at its best, lyrical content ranges from junkies to raping old women to the police.
I am being purely un biased here as I think the singer of the band is an arrogant prick...... But I have to respect the talent and charisma of this band.

THE DAY EVERYTHING BECAME NOTHING
Formed in 2002 featuring members of Fuck I'm Dead and Blood Duster.
It is a goregrind band with a surprisingly slow and sludgy feel.
I know lots of gore is slow but this puts me off a bit.
Anyways they have 3 full lengths and have been embraced by the Australian underground.
They were at Obscene Extreme last year.

ROADSIDE BURIAL
These guys formed in 2006 and are just great. With ex members of Volatile you can't go wrong!!!
On their myspace page they proclaim "we are inspired by the simple things in life, Beer, Sluts, and meat"
Sporting flanno's and mullets these guys are just drunken yobbo's that like grinding!!
With roaring vocals and distorted guitars smashing drums these guys are no nonsense death grind!!!

VOLATILE
These guys are absolute legends in the grind scene!!
They started in '95 and finished up in 2003, they called their style Mongo-Yobbo-Grind.
This to me is what Aussie grind is about, ya don't have to be an angry young lad with a chip on ya shoulder...... These guys did it because it was fun.

They have one full length "Bound and Gagged" and are working on their next "Depths of Impurity"..... I can't wait!!
These guys are just punishing, everything is fast loud and angry!!!
This was the first brutal band I ever saw, I snuck into them 10 years ago when I was 17 and they are still blasting like maniacs!!!

Well I am going to end this article with a really good band.
This shit is balls to the wall grindcore with a tinge of crust, it is fast raw and angry.... Did I mention FAST!!!
I dont think these guys have a song over 40 seconds.
This is not to be fucked with!!!!
They dish up some fast as fuck abrasive grindcore ala early Napalm Death and Anal Cunt.
Still one of my all time favorite bands, if ya think Fuck I'm Dead and the Kill are good you will love these fuckers!!!
With 41 songs coming in at about 18 minutes (from memory) but crazily enough the songs still have structure and sound good.
These crazy fucking grind freaks are no slouches!!!!
